"I Call Shotgun" features songs that elicit emotions in even the most hard-hearted of listeners. The show focuses on lyrically provoking songs, and Frances and Colleen will discuss their content through a poetic and technical lens by bringing in information from the songwriters directly and their backgrounds in writing. Once a month, Frances and Colleen will choose a "theme" that each song played falls under, and listeners will have the chance to call in and guess this theme—the reward: their love and affection.
